What’s the difference between Fractional Operations and Project Management?
Fractional operations refers to the hiring of an experienced professional, such as a head of operations, on a part-time or fixed-term contract basis. This contractor (or contractors) will oversee the broader flow of work, like priorities, coordination and delivery.
Project management means the management and delivery of a specific project or initiative, rather than improving and managing topline functions.
Fractional operations support may cover project management, however a project manager will not cover everything expected by a fractional operations contractor.
